“America, the criminal, trespassing crusader, continues to be the same as ever, so we must continue to harm it, in order for it to come to its senses,” Zawahri said, addressing Muslims across the world.

“Its criminal, expansionist crusader project in your lands has only been neutralized by the sacrifices of your sons, the mujahideen,” he said in an audio recording.

Zawahri urged Islamists fighting U.S. forces and those of the Shi’ite-led Iraqi government to stay the course, saying that U.S.-led forces were being routed.

“The American people, by electing Obama, declared their anxiety and fear about the future toward which the policy of the likes of Bush was leading them, and so they decided to support someone calling for withdrawal from Iraq.”

In a similar message to Islamists fighting Ethiopian and government forces in Somalia, Zawahri urged them not to stop.

“America is gathering its wounds in Iraq, and Ethiopia is looking for a way out…don’t put down your weapons before the mujahid state of Islam has been set up in Somalia.”

Zawahiri also criticised Mr Obama – whose father is Muslim – for betraying the Islamic world.

“You were born to a Muslim father, but you chose to stand in the ranks of the enemies of the Muslims, and pray the prayer of the Jews, although you claim to be Christian, in order to climb the rungs of leadership in America,” he said.

Mr Obama was not an “honourable black American” like Malcolm X, he said, but an “abeed al-beit” – a word that translates as house slave but was rendered “house negro” in the message’s English subtitles.

The audio was accompanied by footage of a speech by Malcolm X in which he distinguished between “field negroes” who hated their white masters and “house negroes” who, he said, were loyal to them.

How dare you continue to threaten the United States while hiding behind your hateful, war-fueled concept of the Muslim faith. The United States is the single-most tolerant country on the planet regarding people’s rights to practice the faith of their forefathers or of their choice. This is no holy war nor a race war that we are engaged in – no matter how much you and your ilk would like it to be.

The conflicts the United States has in the Middle East is not about religious ideology or the color of skin – this is not Christianity vs Islam. This is not a crusade. This is not Jihad. This is about saving innocent, freedom-hungry people from pin-headed fascists like you.

You idiots continue to throw religion into it because you can’t justify yourselves with anything else. Period. You have the balls to defile God by perverting a faith in him into justification for fascism, terrorism and war.

There is no group of beautiful virgins waiting for you and your “martyrs” in heaven when you go blow yourselves up in the midst of crowds of innocent people, you fool. There is no heaven for you at all. What you are committing and promoting is murder. There is darkeness for you – nothingness.

Until you and your cohorts admit that your misdirected mission to “defend” Islam is a load of crap and that you will never succeed in converting the entire world to your vision of your religion (nor will any religion, sect or ideology) and that we, as inhabitants of this planet, can and should live harmoniously together, you will remain unhappy, violent, angry and miserable.

If there is one almighty God, surely that God is not amused with the violent sectarianism that continues to divide and harm the humanity that it has created. Religions are the politics of men. Dogmas are meant to control the minds of the many for the benefit of the few.
